Privacy Policy — Dress Style

The short version. Dress Style has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. Your wardrobe, photos, outfits and profile live only on your phone. Photos leave the device only when you tap Make it realistic and confirm: your model photo and the photos of the pieces you picked go to our try-on service, which asks Google's AI to make the picture and sends it back. After a try-on, the app may also ask for a short written stylist review of that picture. We do not store any of it.

What is stored on your phone

All of it lives in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. We never receive any of it.

Cutting clothes out of their background

When you add a piece of clothing, the app removes the background from its photo on your phone. On Android this uses an on-device model supplied through Google Play services. The photo is processed on your phone and is not uploaded.

What a try-on sends

When you tap Make it realistic and confirm — and only then — the app sends to BAK's try-on service (a cloud function operated by us on Google Cloud):

your model photo (or the current try-on picture, when you are adding more pieces), and
the photo of each piece of clothing, shoes or accessory you picked.

The service passes them to Google's image models on Google Cloud Vertex AI and returns the generated picture to your phone.

What a stylist review sends

After a try-on, the app can ask for a short written review of the outfit. It sends the generated picture, the names and colours of the pieces in it, your colour season, and — if you set them — who you are dressing for and your height. The reply is text, shown in the app and saved with the photo on your phone.

How we handle what is sent

We do not store the photos you send, the pictures generated or the reviews. They pass through the service in memory and are not written to disk or logs.
Google processes them under the Google Cloud Privacy Notice; Google Cloud does not use customer data to train its models.
Requests carry an App Check attestation so only genuine installs of Dress Style can use the service. No account, name, phone number or device identifier is sent.
Every try-on is a deliberate action, with the price shown before you confirm. There is no automatic upload.
We keep request counts and error logs (times and error messages, never images) to run the service and control cost.

Sharing and saving

When you tap Share, Save to Photos, or export a backup, your phone's share sheet or photo library takes over and you choose where it goes. Whatever you pick is governed by that app or service's own policy.

Permissions

Internet — used for try-ons and stylist reviews when you ask for them, and to open this policy.
Camera — only when you choose "Take Photo". Optional.
Photos — read when you choose "Choose from Library"; write when you tap "Save to Photos".

Declining any of these leaves the rest of the app usable.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, collects no personal data, and has no social features, chat, public content or in-app purchases.

Deleting your data

Individual items, outfits and photos: delete them in the app.
Everything: Me → Library → Reset everything, which also clears the try-on cache.
Uninstalling removes all of it, since nothing is stored anywhere else.

There is nothing to delete on our side, because we hold nothing of yours.

Changes

If a future version changes what is sent or stored, this policy is updated before that version is released, and the change is described in the release notes.
